This project main purpose is using GUI (Graphical User Interface) panel to control the moving direction and rotating direction by wireless communication. For this project, we need two SKXBee Pro, USB cable, PR19 Flexibot, 12V LIPO Batterry or 12VDc adapter and computer. In fact, this project is used computer (GUI) to interface with SKXBEE 1 (wireless communicate send command to SKXBee 2) for control the Flexibot action. So, we have to plug in the USB cable from SKXBee 1 to computer USB port.
The XBee and XBee Pro have UART interface and can be connected directly from microcontroller to pins of RF Module (XBee/XBee Pro). Using UART interface, we can use this wireless devices to communicate between microcontroller to microcontroller (two PICs) or between PC to microcontroller. Here, we will discuss how to use two XBee/XBee Pros to interface with microcontroller and how to send command for configuration XBee/XBee Pro Module.

XBee has gaining it popularity in robotics for wireless communication because of its easiness to use feature. Power it up and you can straight away transmit and receive wireless data transparently. But, you might have problem interface with it because the pin is not standard. You cannot simply buy XBee module and solder to your donut board, or even plug into your breadboard.
