Water is necessary for the life and survival of all plants, it is essential for the transportation of nutrients and sugars from the soil to the plants. In order to keep your plants alive and well you must water them always. πŸŒ±πŸ’¦

Do you usually forget to water your plants? You don’t have to worry anymore!
With micro:bit, Wi-Fi module, and soil moisture sensor you can create an awesome project to remind you to water your plants when they get dry.

By following the diagram above:

  • Connect the grove Wi-Fi module to P15 and P16
  • Connect Maker Soil Moisture sensor to P2 and P12

Connect your REKA:BIT to your device and open MakeCode editor to start programming.

  • Add β€œESP8266 Cytron” extension and follow the code block in the picture above
  • Follow the steps here to create Telegram bot. Get the API key of the Telegram bot and chat ID.

  • After completing the code, download it on microbit
