Last year we have been approached by Nuvoton, a semiconductor company, headquartered in Hsinchu, Taiwan. After a few face to face discussion and email communication, we decided to be the training and academic partner for Nuvoton in Malaysia.
The 1st meet up was last year when we attended Nuvoton’s ARM workshop at USM (Island), Penang. We did share some of the photos at facebook.
In April 2014, Cytron send two engineers to Nuvoton’s HQ in Hsinchu, Taiwan for 5 days training on the related product. Now we are equipped with knowledge and skill to develop product using NuMicro (Nuvoton’s Microcontoller), and of course to conduct training. Allow me to share the certificate we get:
Though we have been trained with several types of semiconductor product, we will focus in ARM Cortex-M0 as that is our main interest:)
The Headquarter of Nuvoton
During Training of ARM Cortex-M0
Did I mention? There are more than 30 participants from all around Asia including Malaysia, Indonesia, Filipina, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Thailand attended the 5 days training.
It was a fruitful training. We have chance to experience all the product with hands-on exercises. For NuMicro ARM Cortex-M0, we are using NUC140 Learning board (training kit) as show in the picture. It comes with NUC140 which fall under the NUC100 series of NuMicro family.
After coming back from Nuvoton training, we are busy with workshop preparation and also agreement with Nuvoton. Of course, not to forget, we are training ourselves to be familiar with the NuMicro and the Learning board. Currently there is plan to develop a starter kit for NUC140 microcontroller and also USB programmer for it.
Specification and Features of NUC140 Training Kit:
- Microcontroller: NuMicro NUC140 run up to 50MHz
